Track 1. Intro

Unlike the previous Thursday, this day was least busy. I would even say that the day was the only event where I had a rest time. I spent exactly 2 hours on this event, not counting the time spent on the trip there and back. And the evening was held under the slogan "Only music!".

Track 2. The Club

Firstly, about the club. It was difficult to find it, because the "concert hall" itself is located in the basement, so from the street it seemed that the location was just another bar or restaurant. On the way to the basement, I felt a certain atmosphere of the underground. Some equivalent of a fight club in the known movie. Industrialists Anonymous?! Although the industrial scene in Israel exists for a long time, the events are held in such an underground atmosphere, which gives it its own peculiar feature and makes the atmosphere more relaxed, more comfortable or home alike, more suitable and predisposed for understanding music. In a nutshell - the basement is cool! There were about 20-30 people. Perfect for this kind of event. There was a table with CDs for sale (industrial, noise, dark folk etc. genres). Now for the performances...

Track 3. Seventeen Migs of Spring (Israel)

I was a bit late for their performance. When I entered the club, the enveloping ambient was already sounding, which later turned out to be an intro-composition. It was followed by a common, but listenable IDM. This made me a little disappointed, because in their performance at Noisemass 2005 Seventeen Migs of Spring had a completely different very diverse show, where the various genres of industrial were intertwined, starting with ambient and ending with rhythmic noise. This time there were two members on stage and not three as on the festival. But I later I found out, that there was actually no change in genres and just because of the absence of a third member the remaining two played the repertoire of their side project and not its main material. Therefore, in fact, there was no performance of real Seventeen Migs of Spring, but it was just a decent opening act for Mono No Aware.

Track 4. Mono No Aware (Germany)

Immediately (that is, quite immediately, without any pauses and announcements) after the performance of the Israelis, Leif came out on stage and it has begun... with ambient, smoothly and sometimes abruptly flowing into rhythmic noise, intersecting with power electronics and sometimes with IDM. A well-defined beat alternated with dirty noises hidden behind a curtain of airy harsh music with interjected slogans, insane energy. The so-called underground atmosphere of the club itself worked flawlessly. Each time I closed my eyes, I was imbued with every sound coming from the speakers, every click, every bit, every word... It was indescribable! The overall sound in the club wasn't exactly perfect, but it was enough. I know, that they are from different niche of dark scene post-industrial music, but Agonoize show few days ago was way weaker comparing to Mono No Aware. The audience was not particularly mobile, but they enjoyed the show silently and filled every pause in the music with enthusiastic hail and applause. I'll be honest that I wasn't a big fan of Mono No Aware before this gig. I think it's time to change my opinion. Apparently, this will be the best event for me this year. I hope there will be more such events in Israel.

Track 5. Outro

Mono No Aware made not only the day, but the whole year. So I recommend to all the industrial music fan to visit the German act anywhere they can and not even once. One more name in my list for must-see shows.
