HNO₃=>Nitric Beats: TOP2025 of Beats'n'Noises

The beats and noise scene in 2025 wasn't as large as it had been in the 2010s, but there were plenty of quality releases. Known projects from famous leading labels were interspersed with young, homemade musicians who essentially existed only on the internet. The stylistic diversity in such a narrowly focused scene and the search for new sounds are astonishing and surprising. The scene is alive and well, despite its underground development and small number of projects.

Covered genres: rhythmic noise, IDM, TBM, techno-industrial, tribal industrial

10. Silhouette Obsession “Submersus in Sonis Violentiae” (techno-industrial, trap, industrial | USA, Self-Released)

The American project Silhouette Obsession is released exclusively on Bandcamp and is apparently the brainchild of Adilynn Hamilton, who has been releasing music under various project names since 2019. The first project in this lengthy discography is Spirangle, so it can probably be considered a subsidiary. The first album under the name Silhouette Obsession was released in 2024 and at the time it was experimental ambient with industrial darkwave variations. Several EPs followed, covering various industrial genres, including dark ambient, noise and power electronics. After a series of experiments the American added a mid-tempo rhythm and a plastic yet gritty beat, resulting in the album "Submersus in Sonis Violentiae", consisting of 10 tracks, that combine techno-industrial and noise effects with such diverse genres of experimental electronics as horrorcore, trap and even dark trance. The result is quite lively and unusual, but there is room for improvement. Overall, the Silhouette Obsession project could have continued in this direction, but after "Submersus in Sonis Violentiae", two more releases were out, in which the musician returned to an experimental sound.

09. Dulce Liquido “Mind Domination” (techno-industrial, rhythmic noise | Mexico, Out of Line)

Rasco is the other half of the Mexican dark electro icons Hocico. In the 2000s Rasco decided to create a project with a more aggressive and industrial direction, featuring a clearly foregrounded noise effects and a more techno-inspired sound. This is how Dulce Liquido was born. The debut album was released in 2000, followed by a second one in 2003. After that Rasco sent Dulce Liquido into a deep slumber, from which he roused in 2024 with the release of a single, followed in 2025 by the third full-length album "Mind Domination" after a 22-year hiatus. The Mexican presents 17 new tracks on the new album, combining rhythmic, cyclical techno-industrial with elements of danceable noisy structure. The album turned out to be a bit drawn out and monotonous, but there are definitely interesting tracks here, as well as interesting approaches to sound, and considering the highly professional mastering and well-crafted sound in general, the album is worthy of the attention of fans of hard industrial electronics.

08. Siamgda ꕾ Marie “Resistanz” (tribal industrial, techno-industrial | Germany+Japan, Hands Productions)

Siamgda is a German project by Marc Fischer, formed in 2001. Inspired by a trip to Nepal, Marc created the project, and Asian motifs and folk influences became a key musical focus. Over the course of his career the German has released his work on the Berlin-based experimental label Mind Plug Records and the industrial label Ant-Zen. In 2020 his first album was released on another major label in rhythmic noise, Hands Productions. Siamgda's new work is also being released there. For his new album, "Resistanz," Marc invited Japanese vocalist Julita Maria Kusy, known under the pseudonym MARiE. The result is a deeply atmospheric blend of tribal industrial with IDM and techno elements, imbued with that Asian atmosphere, with which the German began his musical career. A very interesting combination of ritualistic electronic sounds with MARiE's ethereal vocals, contrasting with Mark's distorted recitations, creates a unique atmosphere. A well-done, interesting work by the international duo.

07. Heimstatt Yipotash “Belt to Blender” (techno-industrial, rhythmic noise, industrial | Germany, Hands Productions)

The German project Heimstatt Yipotash was formed in 2001 by André and Thomas. They debuted live that same year and their first album was released in 2003. In 2006 the duo released their first album on the leading rhythmic noise label Hands Productions, where the project would settle for a long time. Heimstatt Yipotash has always distinguished itself by flirting with other genres of electronic music, moving away from templates and classical sounds. The new album "Belt to Blender" is a techno-industrial oriented music with elements of drum and bass, EBM, industrial darkwave, electro-industrial, rhythmic noise, dark ambient and occasional breakbeat woven into various compositions. A very lively and diverse work, spiced up with an industrial remix by the Ukrainian project Kotra.

06. Sylvgheist Maëlström “Grieve” (techno-industrial, IDM, tribal industrial | France, Hands Productions)

French artist Julien founded the Sylvgheist Maëlström project in the late 2000s as an audiovisual art project aimed at expressing his ideas through sound design. The debut album was released in 2010 on Connexion Bizarre, after which the project attracted the attention of the established industrial label Hands Productions, which has released all of the French artist’s subsequent works to date. The sixth album, titled *Grieve*, consists of twelve tracks combining techno-industrial, IDM, and tribal industrial elements. According to the press release, unlike previous albums that explored themes of nature and environmental disasters, this new work shifts toward more personal reflections on memory, drawing inspiration from the ideas of Czech writer Milan Kundera. *Grieve* is a highly emotional release, albeit with a noticeable experimental edge. The core of the album lies in the fusion of tribal industrial and IDM, while the techno-industrial component serves primarily as a structural foundation. Overall, it is a solid and cohesive effort from the French project.

05. Comaduster “Memory Echoes” (techno-industrial, IDM, aggro-industrial, synthpop, | Canada, Self-Released)

Canadian musician Réal Cardinal formed Comaduster in the late 2000s and immediately burst onto the scene of underground electronic music on the Tympanik Audio label with the debut album, which put the project in the noisy electronic and experimental scene. The artist later released one album on the known electronic label FiXT and in 2025 returned to releasing albums independently. Comaduster has experimented with various musical genres from rhythmic noise and techno-industrial to synthwave and dubstep. On his new album "Memory Echoes" the Canadian goes even further, using other genres such as synthpop and aggro-industrial into his work. The result is a highly experimental and diverse album, yet at the same time quite cohesive and consistent. Melodic compositions featuring Marie Kattmann, overflowing with romance and emotions alternate with experimental noise, more peculiar to the Canadian's early works. An interesting, diverse work that could easily have made it into the top10 post-industrial albums of 2025.

04. :10: & Barcoder “Discontent” (IDM, techno-industrial, electro-industrial, industrial | USA+USA, CRL Studios)

The American project :10: is already well known to fans of industrial electronics for its visceral drag music, which uses various elements of electronic genres, woven into industrial passages. In 2025 the American released a solo EP and also released a collaboration with the Barcoder project. Barcoder is a relatively young project of a musician James Church, known for many industrial experimental projects, but primarily as the founder of the CRL Studios label. Barcoder's solo work stylistically is similar to the music of :10:, however, is more aggressive and experimental, but in general it is similar, so on the collaboration album "Discontent" it is difficult to understand where :10: is and where Barcoder is. The music is made in the genre of broken techno-industrial and IDM with elements of electro-industrial, rhythmic noise and elements of breakbeat. The material is not aggressive, but rather more experimental and stretchy, which is more inherent precisely :10:. But it turned out very well. 8 short compositions will appeal to both lovers of experimental electronics and admirers of industrial aesthetics.

03. n.dos “entropy” (rhythmic noise, industrial, glitch | USA, Self-Released)

n.dos is a young project from Chicago. Little is known about the participants, as well as about the biography. The debut release was out in January 2025 and immediately in the form of a full-length album. Later there was also an EP and a single. The album is called "entropy" and is a harsh composition of rhythmic noise with industrial sounds and a glitch concept. 16 compositions of broken rhythm, mechanical noises, rough beats and industrial aesthetics make "entropy" one of the best rhythmic noise releases in 2025. Very strong quality work of the American project.

02. Maschinenkrieger KR52 “De-press” (rhythmic noise, industrial | Germany, Hands Productions)

The German project Maschinenkrieger KR52 appeared on the scene of rhythmic noise as part of the duo Maschinenkrieger KR52 vs. Disraptor, with which 7 full-length albums were released both on their own and on the leading Hands Productions label. The first solo work of Maschinenkrieger KR52 was released only in 2020 and its continuation - in 2025 under the name "De-press". The project creates classic mid-tempo rhythmic noise with industrial aesthetics and occasional breakbeat beats. On the new album all this is done with maximum quality and according to the canons of the genre. Excellent work, worthy of a place in the collection of connoisseurs of this scene. Powerful beats, a noise attack on the ears, rhythms that make you move. On the album there is everything, that should be. This album can be called a benchmark of rhythmic noise at the junction of modern and oldschool variations of the genre.

01. aftxr “You Are Here” (rhythmic noise, industrial | USA, Self-Released)

aftxr is a sound art project of the thoughts and ideas of the American artist Dave Clay. The project's debut work was released in 2013 on its own. By 2025 Dave had 5 full-length albums and one EP in aftxr portfolio. The sixth album is called "You Are Here" and was also released on its own in digital format. And if the early works of the American were more experimental with the use of guitar sound and industrial aesthetics, in the 20s aftxr became noisier with the increased influence of experimental industrial music. The new album features 11 compositions, the main of which is done in the oldschool rhythmic noise genre with a spacious sound and elements of classic industrial with dark ambient. The result is a very cohesive conceptual work without experiments, without searching for the feature, without flirting with numerous genres of music, but with a very strong atmosphere and perfect sound. There is tempo rhythmic noise for the dancefloor, enveloping dark ambient and brooding drawn-out industrial. Excellent work by a talented musician and artist.
